A safe driving agreement is a contract between young drivers and parents relating to driving and using family vehicles. It is a two-way agreement, providing obligations and commitments on both sides to enhance safe driving and reduce the likelihood of accidents.

Safe driving agreements should not be imposed unilaterally, but should be negotiated between parents and young drivers, and regularly reviewed to ensure they are functioning in the best interests of both parties.

Links below provide more information and examples of typical agreements.
